In the early hours of a Friday in late August of 2015, a violent encounter inside a Brooklyn hookah lounge left a 27-year-old man dead. Christopher Phillips, a Black male from Brooklyn, was shot multiple times in the head and torso at the Buda Hookah Lounge located in the Prospect Lefferts Gardens neighborhood. The deadly altercation, which occurred around 3 a.m. on August 28, 2015, was captured by the lounge's surveillance cameras.
