On a crisp autumn evening in Brooklyn, New York, the life of 16-year-old Clayton Hemingway Jr. was tragically cut short. On November 4, 2017, the young man, known affectionately as 'CJ' to his friends and family, was shot multiple times just outside his home on Wortman Avenue in the East New York neighborhood. The promising high school student, who had a passion for basketball, was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, but medical efforts to save him were unsuccessful.
