Death by Force

Matthew Franklin, a 38-year-old man, was fatally shot in the early hours of April 11, 2025, in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. near the intersection of Pilling Street and Broadway Avenue. Officers responding to the scene discovered Franklin with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was immediately transported to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
