Sean Overton, a 42-year-old resident of the Astoria Houses in Queens, New York, was tragically killed on April 5, 2015. The incident occurred just after 5 p.m. outside the Astoria Houses at 2-10 Astoria Blvd. Overton was found lying on his back with gunshot wounds to his neck and torso. Despite being rushed to Mount Sinai Queens, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The shooting took place on Easter Sunday, adding a somber note to the holiday for the local community.
