Linda Barnett, a 38-year-old woman from Amarillo, Texas, has been missing since July 5, 2020. She was last seen in the 500 block of South Kentucky Street, where she lived with her boyfriend. According to her boyfriend, he had taken a nap, and when he woke up, Linda was gone. Oddly, all of her personal belongings, including money and identification, were left behind, except for her cell phone. However, her phone had not been used since two days prior, on July 3.
Linda, who would normally contact her mother daily, has not been heard from since.
Linda had several medical conditions that required medication, which she did not take with her when she disappeared. She also had distinguishing physical characteristics, including a scar across her nose, a slight limp, and was noted to wear glasses. Her disappearance raised concerns, especially from her family, who believed she might have met with foul play. While the boyfriend cooperated with the investigation, there was no direct evidence implicating him or anyone else in her disappearance.
Despite extensive efforts by the Amarillo Police Department and appeals for public assistance, no significant leads have emerged in the case.
