On December 7, 2015, Ying Guan Chen, a 68-year-old resident of Brooklyn, New York, was fatally shot in Sunset Park. The incident occurred after he attended a wedding at the Golden Imperial Palace restaurant. As he left the wedding reception, he was followed by Wu Long Chen, a 45-year-old man from Manhattan's Lower East Side.
