Death by Force

Lawrence Edwards, a 60-year-old man from Utica, NY, was found dead on May 7, 2016. His body was discovered inside a vehicle parked behind 301 Rutger Street. Edwards, who was known to frequent the areas around the Rescue Mission of Utica and Hope House, was homeless at the time of his death. The Utica Police Department launched a homicide investigation after determining that Edwards had been shot.
