On the night of April 12, 2007, a dedicated five-year veteran of the Utica Police Department, Officer Thomas M. Lindsey, age 32, was tragically killed in the line of duty. While on patrol at approximately 9:20 p.m., he conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Neilson and Eagle Streets after witnessing a vehicle commit a traffic infraction.
