In the early morning hours of January 16, 2020, the life of 33-year-old Mark Allen Peak was tragically cut short in Utica, New York. Peak, a Black male, was seated in a vehicle on the 900 block of Lenox Avenue when he was fatally shot multiple times. The incident occurred at approximately 1:52 a.m., and despite being rushed to a local hospital for emergency surgery, he succumbed to his injuries.
