On November 22, 2020, Eugene Aviles, a 19-year-old resident of Utica, NY, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident. The events unfolded on a Sunday evening when Utica Police responded to a vehicle accident on the 1600 block of Genesee Street. Shortly after, another call reported shots fired less than a mile away on the 100 block of Grant Street.
