Kendell Walcott, a 24-year-old resident of Brooklyn, New York, tragically lost his life on September 1, 2016. The incident occurred in the Old Mill Basin neighborhood, where Walcott was shot in the chest outside a home on East 56th Street near Avenue O. The shooting took place around 12:40 p.m., and despite being rushed to Kings County Hospital Center, Walcott was pronounced dead shortly after. The shooting also resulted in a minor injury to another man, who was treated for a hand wound.
