Derek Tiucios, a 17-year-old from Brooklyn, NY, tragically lost his life on October 28, 2020, in a daylight shooting on East 26th Street near Newkirk Avenue in Flatbush. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. when Tiucios and a 16-year-old boy were approached by an assailant during an attempted robbery.
