She had left behind her shoes, purse, coat, and car keys, and the garage door was slightly open, which raised immediate concerns. Snow on the ground that day showed no signs of her having left on foot, further deepening the mystery of her sudden disappearance.
It wasn’t until March 20, 1985, over two months after her disappearance, that her body was discovered by a man searching for aluminum cans in a drainage ditch along Baldwin Lane.
