Cosmos Charles, a 31-year-old man from Brooklyn, NY, was tragically shot and killed on November 1, 2016. The incident occurred at the corner of Lincoln Place and Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, around 8:50 p.m. Charles, who was homeless and resided at the nearby Renaissance Men’s Shelter on Ralph Avenue, was involved in a drug-related dispute that escalated into violence. Witnesses reported hearing four gunshots and saw Charles attempting to flee before collapsing on the sidewalk.
