In a sixth-floor hallway of a Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment building on a winter evening, a violent dispute tragically cut short the life of 29-year-old Maurice Lindsey. On January 30, 2017, Lindsey stepped in to defend his girlfriend who was involved in a fight at 1625 Fulton Street, near Lewis Avenue. During this intervention, a teenager allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Lindsey in the chest.
