In the spring of 2016, a brazen daylight shooting in the East New York section of Brooklyn claimed the life of 41-year-old Charles Jones. On the morning of April 29th, Jones was found unresponsive with gunshot wounds to his head and torso directly in front of his apartment building on Pennsylvania Avenue. The location of the shooting was alarmingly close to an elementary school. Emergency services rushed him to Brookdale Hospital, but his injuries proved fatal.
