In the fall of 2017, a dispute in the Brooklyn neighborhood of East Flatbush tragically escalated, leading to the death of 44-year-old Mora Lyons. On the afternoon of October 20th, Lyons was involved in an altercation that ended when he was shot multiple times in the torso. The incident occurred in the vicinity of Nostrand Avenue, a bustling street in the heart of the borough.
