On an April evening in 2017, the life of 36-year-old Melvin White of Rochester, New York, was violently cut short. On April 17th, as White and a friend were getting into a vehicle on Central Avenue, they were suddenly attacked. In the ensuing chaos, White was shot twice. The assailants also robbed his friend during the assault. Emergency services were quickly on the scene, and White was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
