In the quiet, rural landscape of Malone, New York, the life of 61-year-old David Carpin, a male resident, came to a violent and tragic end in the fall of 2017. Melissa Castner, for her part, pleaded guilty to first-degree hindering prosecution, admitting that she had actively worked to conceal her father's crime. She was sentenced to a term of one-and-one-third to four years in prison.
