In the late hours of a Sunday in Brooklyn, the life of John Terrell, a 45-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short. On March 30, 2025, inside an apartment building at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Miller Avenue, chaos erupted in a hail of gunfire. When the violence subsided, Terrell had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to his chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not the only person struck by the gunfire in what was ultimately a triple shooting.
