On April 2, 2023, in Carlton, New York, 14-year-old Shawn Tyler "Star Frost" Spoon was tragically killed in a murder-suicide incident involving his father, 39-year-old Henry Frank Spoon Jr. Authorities discovered their bodies in an orchard along Kendrick Road after responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle.
