In the spring of 2016, a burst of gunfire in a Brooklyn housing complex tragically cut short the life of 17-year-old Tyquan Holmes. The young man, a male resident of the borough, was found with a gunshot wound to his head in the lobby of a New York City Housing Authority building in the Brownsville neighborhood. The fatal incident occurred on the evening of May 30, 2016, a day that would mark the beginning of the end for the teenager.
