Dion James, a 30-year-old resident of Brooklyn, New York, tragically lost his life on June 26, 2016. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Union Street in Crown Heights. Dion was attempting to protect his wife from an altercation with another man when he was shot twice in the back. The confrontation escalated quickly, leading to the fatal shooting.
