Shaquan McMillan, a 23-year-old from Rochester, NY, tragically lost his life on October 1, 2017. The incident occurred near Ontario Beach Park, where McMillan was fatally shot in a parking lot at the intersection of Beach and Lake Avenues. The shooting happened around 1 a.m. as McMillan was attempting to flee from an armed robbery. He was shot in the back, and the bullet pierced his jugular vein and carotid artery, leading to his death in the middle of Beach Avenue.
