In the summer of 2019, the city of Rochester, New York, was experiencing a surge in violence that would tragically claim the life of Daniel Sutton Jr., a 26-year-old male. On the evening of July 10th, Sutton was on Ernst Street when he was shot at least once. Despite his injuries, he managed to flee the scene and sought help at a nearby store on Hudson Avenue. He was rushed to Rochester General Hospital in a private vehicle but succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead.
