In the early summer of 2016, the life of Hudson B. Jones Jr., a 40-year-old male known affectionately to friends and family as 'Nookie,' was tragically cut short. On Sunday, June 12, 2016, Jones was found shot to death on a front lawn in the Plum Orchard neighborhood of New Orleans. The New Orleans Police Department was called to the scene and immediately began an investigation into the shooting, classifying it as a homicide.
