On a tragic autumn day in Syracuse, New York, the life of 20-year-old Jamia Uniece Singleton was irrevocably altered. On October 28, 2017, the young woman was shot in the face on Glenwood Avenue. For a month, she courageously fought for her life, a battle that ultimately ended on November 29, 2017, when she succumbed to her devastating injuries. At the time of her death, Jamia was four months pregnant, a heartbreaking detail that compounded the profound loss for her loved ones.
