On a cold February evening in 2019, the life of 34-year-old Juanita Schley, a Black female, was tragically cut short in Syracuse, New York. On February 18th, Schley was sitting in a parked car on South Salina Street when another vehicle pulled alongside. A man exited the passenger side of the approaching car, opened fire on the vehicle Schley occupied, and then fled the scene.
