In the Mott Haven section of the Bronx, the life of 22-year-old Cheyenne Carter was cut short by gunfire. On the night of May 26, 2018, police responded to a call and found Carter unresponsive in front of the Patterson Houses on East 143rd Street. He had been shot in the head and torso. Emergency services transported him to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
