On a summer evening in the Bronx, 46-year-old Lee McClendon’s life was abruptly ended by an act of violence. On July 9, 2018, McClendon was shot in the neck in an attack that was as sudden as it was fatal. The incident was part of a string of violence that plagued the city, leaving communities shaken.
