Nicholas Mencaroni, a 40-year-old NYPD officer, tragically passed away on January 25, 2019, in Queens, New York. Mencaroni's death was the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was found by his girlfriend, who is also a police officer, in their home on 69th Lane in Middle Village. Despite being rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, Mencaroni succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
