On a cool Halloween evening in Queens, New York, 19-year-old Peyton Manwaring was fatally shot, bringing a tragic end to a young life. The incident occurred on October 31, 2015, in the Rosedale neighborhood. Manwaring, a male college student, was with his close friend, 18-year-old Marcus Mendez, in front of Mendez's home on 144th Street when an unidentified attacker opened fire around 8:30 p.m. Manwaring was struck in the torso and died that night.
