In the winter of 2020, a young man's life was cut short in a burst of violence in the Flatlands neighborhood of Brooklyn. Dontae McKenzie, a 22-year-old male, was fatally shot on the evening of February 11th. The incident unfolded around 6:10 p.m. in the courtyard of the Glenwood Houses on Ralph Avenue, where an argument escalated into a deadly confrontation.
