On August 3, 2023, at approximately 11:50 p.m., 23-year-old O’Dane Shaw was fatally shot following an argument on Warwick Street near Sutter Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. The altercation escalated when the assailant drew a firearm and discharged a single shot, striking Shaw. Emergency responders transported him to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
