On the evening of March 22, 2019, Courtney Tingle, a 26-year-old male, was attending a baby shower at a catering hall on Washington Avenue in the Prospect Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. As he was leaving the event at approximately 10 p.m., he was shot multiple times in the chest. Emergency services arrived at the scene and transported Tingle to a nearby hospital, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
