Twana Cotton, a 50-year-old woman from Anniston, Alabama, was fatally shot on March 25, 2017. The shooting occurred in the early morning hours at a residence located in the 1100 block of West 14th Street. Officers responded to a report of gunfire and arrived to find Cotton suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to a local hospital, but despite efforts to save her, Cotton was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival.
