In the early hours of May 14, 2020, 18-year-old Sean Christopher Brady was fatally shot in Rockaway Beach, Queens. The young man was sitting in his new car with a 24-year-old acquaintance in front of The Sandwich Shop on Rockaway Beach Boulevard at approximately 1:14 a.m. when the shooting occurred. Police arrived to find Brady unconscious in the driver's seat of the red Chevy sedan with a gunshot wound to his head.
