On a summer evening in the Bronx, a burst of violence cut short the life of Anthony Martin. The 27-year-old male was sitting in a car on Beach Avenue on August 15, 2020, when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred at approximately 8:11 p.m. in the Soundview section of the borough.

Emergency services were called to the scene, and Martin was rushed to Jacobi Hospital. He had sustained a gunshot wound to his torso and, despite medical efforts, was pronounced dead at about 8:45 p.m. that ...
