In the early moments of October 28, 2020, tragedy struck in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn. Marvin Carroway, a 34-year-old Black / African American man, was in the lobby of his home at the Langston Hughes Houses, a New York City Housing Authority development. Just after midnight, the peace was shattered by the sound of a gunshot.
