On March 12, 2021, Akwen O. Ajang, a 19-year-old from Utica, New York, was found dead in the town of Litchfield, Herkimer County. The New York State Police responded to a report of a body lying in the roadway on Camp Road near the intersection of Goodier Road at approximately 5:35 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Ajang had died from an apparent gunshot wound.
