On a spring day in the Bronx, a simple act of concern allegedly led to the tragic death of 35-year-old Jason Rivera. The Hispanic man was fatally shot on April 23, 2021, on Taylor Avenue in the Parkchester neighborhood. Reports indicate that Rivera, a resident of Staten Island, had stopped to check on a man he saw sitting on a bench. This encounter would prove to be his last.
