In the early morning hours of Sunday, May 9, 2021, a dispute inside a Bronx nightclub tragically escalated, claiming the life of 30-year-old Shamar Watt. The Black male was inside a bar and nightclub located at 4555 Third Avenue in the Belmont section of the Bronx when an argument erupted with another man over whose turn it was to use the restroom. At approximately 3:48 a.m., the verbal altercation turned violent when the other man shot Shamar Watt in the head.
