In the borough of the Bronx, a 37-year-old man named John Melville was fatally shot on the evening of March 31, 2022. The incident occurred at approximately 7:47 PM in the Morrisania neighborhood, specifically in front of 1292 Washington Avenue near East 169th Street. Responding to a 911 call about an assault in progress, police officers discovered Melville with a gunshot wound to his head.
