Randy Cherry, a 33-year-old African American male, was found dead in his northwest Atlanta home on March 4, 2014. His body was discovered by a friend who had come to visit him. When no one answered the door, the friend looked through a window and saw Cherry lying on a sofa, bleeding from what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his head.
