In the summer of 2023, the life of a young man from DeKalb County was tragically cut short, leaving a community searching for answers. Twenty-two-year-old Charles Johnson was found deceased on the morning of July 26th in a cemetery located on Metropolitan Parkway in southwest Atlanta. The grim discovery was made at the historic Mount Zion United Methodist Church, where Johnson's body was found to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
