On a summer evening in Queens, New York, a young man's life was abruptly cut short in a burst of gunfire. Twenty-four-year-old Dejuan Brown was sitting in his Nissan Maxima at the intersection of 200th Street and 111th Avenue in the Hollis neighborhood on Sunday, July 11, 2021. At approximately 8:15 p.m., a black SUV, identified in some reports as a Jeep, pulled up alongside his vehicle.
