In the early morning hours of July 24, 2021, Rashad Nicholson, a 30-year-old Black male, was fatally shot near the intersection of Third and Oak streets in Albany, New York. Responding medics discovered Nicholson with gunshot wounds to his torso. He was transported to Albany Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
