On January 3, 2024, David N. Cooley Jr., aged 35, was shot in the head while walking on Hudson Avenue in Albany, New York. Emergency responders treated him at the scene before transporting him to Albany Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, Cooley succumbed to his injuries on January 5, 2024.
