Najae Lanier, a 17-year-old from Buffalo, NY, tragically lost her life on August 16, 2021. The incident occurred in Buffalo's Black Rock neighborhood, where Lanier was attending a birthday party for her 3-year-old cousin. As she was walking home from a nearby store, a fight broke out at the corner of Page Street and Lawn Avenue. During the altercation, Lanier was shot in the chest.
