Stephen Lee Murphy, 19, went missing from Tulsa, Oklahoma, on May 2, 1976. He was last seen leaving after telling his uncle not to worry, and that he would be okay. Stephen’s life at the time was marked by significant events, including his service in the Marine Corps, from which he went AWOL prior to his disappearance. Reports suggest he escaped custody while still wearing handcuffs.
